The production of high-quality strip and sheets is challenging. The rolling mill, the forces applied, the number of rolling steps, the cold or hot rolling, this – and the alloy used – influence on the semifinished product and its properties. Wieland has been investing in R&D since the company was founded. This laboratory rig dates back to 1901 and has served the ”Prüfanstalt“ faithfully for decades.
